Independent of one another, my brother and I both determined that this show was better when we were children. Regardless, here’s a sketch of Ickis from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters.

It reads: “The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant.” -The Doctor, from Vincent & the Doctor

And on a more “serious” artistic note: Custom painted Moleskine cover done as a Christmas gift for a friend who really loved this drawing.

This could potentially be me beating a dead horse, as I’m nothing if not through. But to be completely honest, I finally got my own Sonic and am just really really excited. Lblight has been putting up with me bleeping everything of life, so I’m posting this for her…

Day after the Big Bang, 11th’s sonic screwdriver. The facing page, 9/10th’s, is here.

I want nothing more for my birthday than one of these… a sonic screwdriver.
Based off of every screen-shot, prop and toy I could find reference for. Lengths are based on this toy.
11, you’re next!

Sometimes you go through things in the past that, unfortunately, stick with you as you move forward. Keep your head up, kid.

Last week, I went to American Idiot on Broadway and, well, lets just say it resonated. Among the myriad things that “caught” me, I found myself particularly fascinated with Tony Vincent’s skillful portrayal of St. Jimmy. I also fell in love with an illustration of the character as an angel, seen here in these awesome YouTube screenshots:

Despite researching it for days, I could not find out who made the original illustration. My best guess is Chris Bilheimer or possibly Sixten. Regardless, I wanted to put it in my Moleskine to remember the experience.
If you are anywhere near New York or visiting it soon, this is my personal recommendation that you go see American Idiot on Broadway stat. Here’s a sneak peek if you don’t mind spoilers.
