I took over the decal cutter at work today to fix up my sketchbook cover. I need another one that says, “Keep Calm and Come Along.”

This is for Euclase’s SPN fan artist portrait project.
I have redrawn this about 5 times. I just don’t know what to do with it anymore. I was trying to match the style I did for this, but have run out of time to fuss. Have an awkward self portrait!
Two lovely ladies, Ivanna and Breanne, started a Supernatural AU based off How To Train Your Dragon. I really loved the idea and wanted to play in their proverbial sandbox. So this is Cas’ dragon Claire and Dean’s dragon Impala. Which kind of makes this fanartception of sorts. (I took some artistic liberties, most notably with Claire’s wings, but tried to stick to the references as much as possible.)

Practice with people and PaintTool SAI. Otherwise known as flailing.

“Oh right, because that would be a load of fun. Darling, ignore bird brains over there.”
“I’m an Angel, you ass.”

I wasn’t entirely sold on the wings I drew, so here’s a wingless version. In addition to wings, I should learn to backgrounds too.

I don’t think I’ve ever posted a ‘work in progress’ before. It kind of spoils the surprise of the final thing, but I am excited and trying to figure out what to do with it.

Last year for Halloween I sketched Roe out as the Doctor from Doctor Who. This year I decided to do Castiel from Supernatural. Kind of similar really. Don’t know if I should shade this or leave it flat.
